I understood the modern golf watches actually do a lot of tracking like the vivoactive, so I will be thinking on that range whenever this one needs replacement. They were a bit more expensive in the past with less options, but the new range had ANT connectivity and sports activities as well (still much more expensive, but probably a better golf Like I said, the Venu and Vivoactive 4 are basically the same watch. The only major differences are that the Venu has a higher-end design and an incredibly crisp display. The Vivoactive 4 has slightly longer battery life, and the watch face can be left on all the time without worries of rapid battery drain. I had this problem on my new vivoactive 3 too. I would get an alert on my vivoactive 3 that said "new message" but had no details on who it was from or the actual message. The connection between the phone and watch was good or I would not be getting any text alert at all. The problem is in a phone setting. Garmin Vivoactive 5 notifications disappearing too quickly. I have a 2 day old vivoactive 5 and am having trouble with my headphones connection. It drops out consistently throughout my activity and is making me furious. Hello, There are some threads telling that the altimeter should be cleaned to avoid errors in pressure measurements (pretty obvious). So, how can this be cleaned, since the holes are very small? My walks now are all below the sea level :D. 1. battery loss is huge -- I find it worse than activities having gps/hr on. I think this is b/c of # 2. (I do not have this problem with my original vivoactive). 2. backlight comes on the whole time because of water splashing against watch face. i do not see a way of turning backlight completely off for swim (if you say "use auto lock" -- see Ditto and agree. It is hard to trust anything on the VA 3 at the moment, really hope there will be a firmware fix very soon to sort all the bugs out. So it seems that you have deprecated the ‘Golf Distance Units’ option in Connect, but changing this in the Garmin Golf app doesn’t change the Vivoactive settings in the same way. Now, if Garmin wants me to wait 30 more seconds, or 2 MORE minutes, after the watch says it has a lock.. well I think they should mention that in the manual or something.
